As we reach the New Year, weird things seem to be reaching a crescendo. Strangely, there’s a clash of drones and orbs in the skies this Winter Solstice. It’s stirring conversations and bringing together skeptical academics, journalists, and the greater public to look into the sky together. Where will those conversations lead? Hopefully, to a place of elevated awareness, but as always, some would opt for escalation toward a darker path. Yet, we don’t have to follow them: we have a choice.

As we know, human-made drones are appearing around the globe but for whatever reason, New Jersey is the unlikely epicenter. Coinciding with drones, we have multiple reports and videos of orbs, such as the red ones reported by pilots in Oregon or the orbs caught on video aboard an airliner flying into Newark. Thus, it’s a clash of material drones with metaphysical phenomena.

Conversations About Drones and Orbs

As anyone acquainted with this vast subject knows, it leads to a rabbit hole which never ends. For the vast majority, it’s ultimately unknowable. Only a few people claim to know anything substantial and definite. Still, fewer have compelling evidence, experience, and a message about what it all could mean. Even Stanford researcher Garry Nolan admits he is just skimming the surface as a well-known voice on the phenomenon.

For many folks, it’s fun and intriguing to explore the complex and mysterious subject. Today, there is far less stigma and systemic oppression. But ultimately it all comes down to simple questions such as, “Why are they here, and how did they get here?”

Garry Nolan on The Recent Sightings

For Garry Nolan, the recent conversations about drones and orbs are opening minds that have remained closed.

“Have things changed? A huge portion of the US population is now aware that there are things in the sky that the US government has no idea what they are; and it immediately leaves open one of the possibilities that some of them might be NHI (non-human intelligence). And that’s progress to me,” Nolan said in an interview with Engaging the Phenomenon (see video below).

As to how these conversations could, in part, change the world, he suggested a positive change in humanity’s awareness is one potential outcome.

“You want to look for a goal. It might have nothing to do with some nefarious agenda other than to wake people up in some manner to look up and look beyond themselves,” Nolan said.

In another part of the interview, he suggested that experiencing contact might change one’s “consciousness wiring,” but not brain wiring. Rather, a change in the epigenetic state of DNA but not the DNA raw code. Instead, witnesses or experiencers might have a switch in how the code is expressed. If it’s true, science may not have the means to bring hard evidence. Thus, the answers remain in a liminal space.

“Learn to hold things liminal in your mind, unanswered at the edge of possibility,” were Nolan’s parting words.

Downplaying Drones and Orbs as ‘Hysteria’

Right away, we can be sure that many people will never be satisfied without abundant material proof, if even then. People want an ET rolled out on a gurney, as Nolan said.

As social media shows, people will argue over a picture of a potato, much less a fuzzy drone video. Certainly, the way the mainstream media has reacted to the drones and orbs shows that, too. Despite being physical objects, many have downplayed drones as nothing more than public ‘hysteria,’ planes, or constellations. And yet, that comes across as absurdly biased, considering the constant videos online.

Drone Weirdness

As for the weird drone sightings, Belleville Mayor Michael Melham implied they might be related to missing radioactive material! And Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said the drones seem to have “a type of technology that our radar didn’t detect.”

Considering the confusing mainstream media narratives, to what greater degree will they dismiss what may be genuine UAPs even more? In the case of the Oregon orbs, they attribute what pilots saw to flares from Starlink satellites. Nothing but the sun hitting the satellites “just right.” But is this the new “swamp gas” du jour? (see video below)

Is it All Leading to Metaphysical, Spiritual Phenomenon?

As Nolan pointed out, these conversations about drones and orbs might open the door for some people to ask questions that lead into the “woo” or “extra-normal” area. And that surely is part of how all this could elevate people’s awareness and consciousness.

Experts like Jacques Vallee have long known that the edges blur with this subject, but that doesn’t make it any less real or worthy of professional interest. Other notable minds are willing to venture into the metaphysical and spiritual realms, too, such as Diana Pasulka (see video below).

And a new documentary, Cosmosis, takes a broad view of what experiencers are seeing in the skies.

Lastly, the Bledsoe family has a compelling story about what these drones and orbs may all mean. In their view, they are not something to be worried about but something to be truly hopeful about.

And what better way to end this conversation at the dawning of a very uncertain but potentially extraordinary New Year?
